Why hide in a dull post-op bra after your breast surgery?

Ipomia has a collection of stylish post-op bras created in collaboration with leading plastic surgeons. Designed in Sweden and made in Europe using only the finest-quality materials from France, Germany and Italy. Now you can look and feel beautiful while healing.

What bra size do I have now and how does this sizing chart work?

You can find our bra calculator in our website and fill in your sizes. But please remember that this is an estimated size chart, so it is not 100% correct all the time. If you are unsure it is always much better to order a few sizes so you can try them out and find your perfect fit and size.

The best way is to first find out what band size you have and you can easily find that out by only measuring under your breast. When you know your band size you can buy the cup size that the calculator is recommending you + one bigger cup size and one smaller cup size, in this way you have covered what might go wrong and be able to find the bra that fits you and the rest you can return them to us.

I think I'm a 34B….

It is estimated that 70% of all women are wearing the wrong bra size - which gives a misfit and weaker support. To help you choose your right bra size you can measure your circumference with a measuring tape. Measure your under-breast right below your breasts to get your band size - measure tight. To get your breast size - measure softly over your fullest part of your breasts, usually over your nipples. Make sure that you keep the tape measure straight all the way around your body. It can be hard to do it yourself so maybe get someone to help you.

See our bra calculator to calculate your size - go here.

I had a 34B earlier, I put 325cc, your chartshows me that I have 32DDD, this is way too big, my surgeon told me I will be aC or D cup.

32DDD is just a number, the most important part is that it will fit you correctly and give you the right support you need for your investment. Unfortunately, the bra sizing system is a bit different from surgeons’ measurements and therefor it can be some misunderstanding in terms of bra size vs volume size in their charts. But again, the most important part is to have a bra that fits your perfectly and not much about what size it is written on it.

We would suggest you to buy the size that you are recommended from our calculator.

The cup is okay but the band size is too small.I have bought a 32DD should I buy a 34DD?

No, you should but 34D, since when the band size gets expanded the cup size needs to go down in size. Since your cup size is okay on the 32DD. Think of it like the Pythagorean Theorem where one is calculating the volume of a pyramid, just likea bra cup.

What should I think about now that I have implants?

It is very important for you to have a good support for the new weight you have added to your shoulders and back and also for the recovering process to go as good as possible. In the beginning of your recovery process it is good for you to use unwired bra with great support and at Ipomia we have a some great options for you in our Step 1 program. Starting with our Essential Recovery bra, to wear 24/7 and our First Love Bra, to look and feel great during the day.

When the healing process is over you can start using our Step 2 program that has wired bras as well designed for each occasion. But kindly talk to your surgeon when you are able to use wired bras since it is up to your surgeon’s recommendations. Usually it is said that after 6 months up to 1 year after the operation one is allowed to use wired bras.

Why should I not buy a wire bra directly after surgery?

Most of the times surgeons recommend to not wear a wired bra so you won’t have any complications afterword’s. Our unwired bra gives you great support and compression for your implants, but we recommend you talk to your surgeon for advice so you won’t risk anything.
